Culture: Why It’s The Hottest Topic In Business Today – Forbes

Published on 30-03-2015

I would really like to recommend this article of Josh Bersin explaining why culture is the hottest topic in the business world today. When I started CompanyMatch a few years ago, cultural fit has been a topic that HR and Recruitment professionals agreed upon for decades as being the most essential part in hiring in order to accomplish growth.

Now over 350 companies in Europe make use of CompanyMatch in their Employer Branding and recruitment processes, varying from KPMG & Randstad to Siemens & Philips.

At the end of the day, for that matter the most important question for a recruiter to ask is: ‘does this candidate fit within our organisation?’ But hey… why asking this question at the end of your time- and money consuming recruitment process? This question is highly relevant to both employer and jobseeker and should be answered at the start of the online orientation process. So, this is exactly how I came up with the idea of to address the missing link in recruitment: recruit for Cultural Fit. No need to say that you will save up to 25.000 – 55.000 euro’s for each avoided mismatch.

‘Companies that focus on culture are becoming icons for job seekers’

It’s our mission to match job seekers and employers based on cultural fit in the online orientation process. I truly believe that we are in our infancy when it comes down to the possibilities of assessing Cultural Fit, but I am really proud to say that we have engaged over 250 companies like Deloitte, Philips, Henkel, ASML and Randstad in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany so far, to join us in our mission to recruit for Cultural Fit. CompanyMatch is integrated in corporate career sites, we connect our api with ATS’s (recruitment software companies), job boards and candidates are able to apply with CompanyMatch.
